..Ontario..
So, I made it all the way to Ontario! On the map, it doesn't look so big, but apparantly it takes about the same amount of time to drive from Winnipeg to Toronto as it does from Vancouver to Winnipeg!!.... it's been a few days of driving for sure! But now, I've made it to my cousin's house just outside of Toronto. It's so nice coming to an actual house; I stayed with family in Winnipeg, too but I've been camping the whole way, and I'm officially on Day 25! So, I'll be checking out Toronto for the next few days; I guess the Toronto International Film Festival is going on, so the city should be crazy right now. I'm planning on going up the CN Tower, and visiting the Hockey Hall of Fame, so I'm excited to get in there and check it all out! I'll update again before I leave, as I'm sure the next few days will be really interesting... The way down here has been really nice, I've been driving along Lake Superior, which is really quite a sight! I'm noticing the fall leaves starting to turn, on occasion as I was driving, I'd see a bright red flurry of leaves, amidst green conifers, which will surely turn, too.... I can only imagine what a full-fledged autumn will be like, but hopefully I'll catch the rest on the way back. Among the different sites I've been in the last week, my favourite was Pancake Bay. The last two photos are of this campsite on Lake Superior. It really felt a little more like home, as there were big waves and a seemingly endless ocean-like lake! The day I spent there was so so awesome: so sunny and clear. It was a beautiful night with full-on stars, a sliver of moon, and across the lake on the horizon were a few clouds lit up with sporadic lightning bolts. There is one photo of a beautifully decorated gas station, and one cool sunset that was so bright in front of dark, dark skies.
