Right, Toronto...
~ Toronto was a big old city! I stayed with my wonderful cousin just west of Toronto, and my favourite times were probably visiting with him and his wife. I ventured into the city for only one day, but may perhaps catch it again on the way back. I spent the morning meandering around the city, catching the Metro this way and that, and taking trolleys above ground, looking for MuchMusic, The Hockey Hall of Fame, and the CNTower. I found some cool spots, eclectic bohemian shops and streets... I stocked up on comics for the rest of my trip (Note: Osamu Tezuka is the Japanese God of Manga, he's awesome) and managed to purchase rain boots after I had spent a couple of hours walking in flats that were more like puddles than shoes. I was lucky to have my cousin's wife's brother take me around the city in the evening, which brought me to Wayne Gretsky's bar (where he and his father dine on occasion!--not the night I was there) and the adjoining Second City, which is of course the home of improv's SCTV, and it was a total blast, I love that stuff!
~Besides the smelly sewers, constant traffic, and foggy day, I had a nice and memorable time in Toronto.
